The Seattle Tattoo Expo

HEALTH CODE NEW TO 2014: OUT-OF-STATE TATTOO ARTIST LICENSING CHANGES The WA Department of Licensing is waiving the requirement for out-of-state tattoo artists to obtain a WA State License for 2014. In order to tattoo at the expo, however, you will need a valid tattoo artist license from your state of origin with a visible expiration date in print. No training permits will be accepted. Washington State artists are still required to obtain their individual licenses, and they must be valid during the time of the Expo. For all inquiries regarding Licensing specifically in Washington State, please call the WA State Tattoo, Body Piercing, and Body Art Department at 360.664.6660. At the Expo, tattoo and piercing booths will be inspected by Ruby Santiago, Seattle Tattoo Expo's Health and Safety Coordinator, the King County Health Department and the WA State Department of Licensing. Please come prepared! A separate letter outlining the Seattle Tattoo Expo's Health Code is available on the Downloads tab. You will be required to sign and return this document prior to receiving your credentials and registration packet. Please review prior to check-in. DOWNLOADS Due to site relocation from the Northwest Rooms to Fisher Pavilion, the Seattle Tattoo Expo is not currently accepting new UBI INFORMATION All Local Tattoo Shops, Piercing Shops and Vendors are required to have a Washington State UBI Number.
